Written by Sting and released in 1978 as a single and on their album Outlandos d Amour. It was written from the point of view of a man who falls in love with a prostitute. On rerelease in 1979, the song peaked at, 12 on the UK Singles Chart and, 32 on Billboard. In 2008, Roxanne was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone ranked it, 388 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
