Extreme Off Road Russian GT GR MARAL vehicle factory tour and ride

A fascinating visit to see the ultimate offroad vehicle for the North country from the Altaitransmashservice and Ivan Tomashevich, with help from factory staff. The GTGR MARAL traverses snow, swamp and water with a large payload. At 3. 5 meters wide it is a bit large for urban roads. The town of Rubtsovsk in Siberia was a major manufacturer of motorized machinery since WWII, most notably the T4 tractors. After the breakup of the Soviet Union the factory shut down and 25, 000 jobs were lost. The ATM factory is one of the few factories left in the area. The vehicle has a 14liter diesel engine and is covered in plate steel. Large companies such as Gazprom and Rosneft use them to go where other vehicles can not.
