African Cichlid Species Pseudotropheus sp. Perspicax Red Cap ( Ndumbi)
Comman Name : Orange Cap Ndumbi, Red Cap Ndumbi, Red Top, Scientific Name : Pseudotropheus sp. Perspicax Red Cap Origin : Lake Malawi Africa, Ndumbi and Pombo Reef are the locals Family: Cichlidae, Mbuna Size : PH : 7. 2 8. 4 Temperature : 7680 F Temperament : Very Aggressive Considered to be a dwarf mbuna because wild specimens rarely exceed 4. 5 inches but captive specimens have been known to get up to 6 inches. This little African is quite pugnacious for its size and should be housed with larger Mbuna to keep them in check. Amazing color and a hyper attitude makes them a great addition to any large mbuna cichlid tank. Males should be housed with at least 3 females to distribute their crazy aggression. Two Orange Cap morphs are available in the hobby, one coming from Ndumbi and the other from Pombo Rocks.
