Superstitions by cartoonist Joe Noble. Probably filmed at Pathe studios, London. M, S of a man walking around a ladder, someone else walks under it and a bucket falls on his head. A woman powders her nose. Various cartoons show lucky amulets over the ages. A girl breaks a mirror and counts 7 years bad luck. Two women look in a pond one throws a stone to ripple the reflections. Two triangles link together to make a star, one triangle represents truth, wisdom and love, the other, the world, flesh and the devil. A man lights candles and seems to be summoning something.
