James Whistler s Peacock Room at the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington D. C.. On August 18, 2011 the Freer Gallery of Art opened the shutters to James Whistler s Peacock Room, the first time the public could see the room in natural light as well as Freer s original 1908 collection of over 250 ceramics for the exhibition.
