I wrote this song for my Dad after he passed away in 2017. He told us he didn t want a funeral and that made finding closure difficult for most of his family, including myself. I honestly think he thought a funeral would be a burden on us. He was a very selfless man. And I guess that s why I wrote these lyrics. Because I needed to get it all out. And he deserved to be Over the years I ve received thousands of messages about this song and how it s helped people through hard times.
