A good luck signal is hoisted from the masthead of the battleship. The crew wave. L, S of Reykjavik in Iceland filmed from the ship. Churchill gets off and inspects Guard of Honour. M, S of the Icelandic flag. People cheer Churchill as he appears on the balcony of Government house. He walks past the crowds and they applaud. M, S as his car drives through. Various shots as he watches a parade of British, Australian and American troops. Various shots as he goes back to the dock and waves his hat at the crowds.
