C, U of a dog in a pound. The dog jumps up and looks excited. L, S of three men holding dogs. Sign behind the men reads: Chenil du Pont d Essey. Mon. Jouhant These are presumably French kennels. The men pet the dogs then the dog seen earlier has its pawprint taken. Man carefully presses the dog s paw on a piece of paper after having pressed it onto an ink pad. Intertitle reads: Two prints are taken and a complete record of all particulars C, U of the pawprint on the piece of paper. Another print is taken. In France they have a new method, or rather a new adaptation of an old one, for identifying dogs (Seems that this intertitle should have been at the front of the film ) Story incomplete.
