Bertha Hope 5 plays the Music of Elmo Hope

Join us for a night of music with the Bertha Hope 5 presented in partnership with the LADY GOT CHOPS Womens History Music and Arts Festival Festival Hopes band will focus on the music of the often overlooked pianist and composer, Elmo Hope, with whom Bertha was married to prior to his death. Hope was raised in Los Angeles; her involvement in performing arts and music started early, as she attended Manual Arts High School then went on to study piano at Los Angeles Community College.
