Mobile Bath House France (1940)
Unused, unissued material dates unclear or unknown. France. British troops, presumably BEF (British Expeditionary Force) in France. An army track is being pushed next to the river winter, quite cold. A large tent is taken out of the truck and erected next to water. Soldiers work with cigarettes in their mouths. Pan, large white sucks are downloaded from truck on the ground clothes. A boiler is lifted from track s floor in upright position, fitted with a hose and hose placed into water. Presumably water is sucked in, heated and used for the bath. Soldiers get into the tent with underwear in hands. A man s hand pumps water into a boiler. Another man s hand as he switches boiler on open flame. Naked soldiers getting from the tent straight into bath similar to little swimming pools for children. There is a curtain on so only their heads and bare shoulders are seen. A group of happy looking soldiers jumps up and down in the bath. Soldiers in uniforms standing next to their mobile bat
