Titles read: NOW THE Special Pathe Pictorial Section for the Ladies Bathing Modes. Probably filmed in Pathe Studio, London. Brief section of archive footage showing women from the 1920s ( ) sitting on a boat on a beach, wearing oldfashioned swimsuits. Commentator says Sorry, that s the wrong film. We then see various shots of models wearing the latest swimming costumes made from evening wear fabrics, moulded on elastic to replace the rubber fabrics. We see a taffeta ruched swimsuit worn with white net shoes. Some other beach shoes have a string strap. A linen swimsuit is lined with angora wool and comes in two shades of suntan blonde or brunette. A lovely satin swimming costume is modelled by a girl with a beach ball. The final costume is a twotone creation with a net foundation. Note: female commentator. FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
