Iran Unveils Two New Missiles on the National Defense Industry Day

Iran on Thursday unveiled a host of stateoftheart defense achievements, including a longrange ballistic missile, a cruise missile system, and a jet engine designed and manufactured by experts at home as the Islamic Republic marks National Defense Industry Day. The first ballistic missile dubbed Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani has a range close to 1, 400 kilometers. In comparison, the second one dubbed Martyr Abu Mahdi alMuhandis is a cruise missile with a range of 1, 000 kilometers. The Defense Ministry also launched the assembly line for the Owj jet engine. The domesticallymanufactured jet engine is used in the countrys first domesticallymade fighter jet, Kowsar.
