Burnout in front of marked police lands Chisholm man in court
A 31yearold Chisholm man will be summonsed to face court after performing a burnout directly in front of a marked police vehicle in Gilmore last week. About 5. 50pm on Friday, 16 September 2022, police were on patrol in Gilmore when a Toyota utility pulled out in front of them. The vehicle came to a stop, before performing a burnout in front of the marked police car for approximately 20 seconds the entire incident was captured by police dashcam. Police performed a traffic stop a short time later, where the driver returned a positive roadside screen for alcohol; he later returned a positive breath sample of 0. 151 more than three times the legal 0. 05 limit. The mans drivers licence was immediately suspended, and his vehicle seized. He has also been charged with drink driving and improper use of a motor vehicle.
