Bach Vivaldi: Concerto in C major, BWV976
J. S. BachAntonio Vivaldi: Concerto in C major, BWV 976, based on Vivaldi s Op. 3, 12, played on replica 1726 Traeri clavichord. This clavichord, once thought to have been owned by Handel, and used by him while traveling, is doublefretted, and has two split accidentals in the bass. There is no low Csharp or Dsharp, but the last two accidentals are split in two, with the back half playing Fsharp and Gsharp, and the front half playing D and E. The instrument is also tuned a 4th higher than normal pitch. Notice the split accidentals at the bottom of the keyboard, which cause me all sorts of problems when I have to get down there and rumble around on them in 16th notes This replica was built by Jack Peters of Seattle ( ).
