Mother WREN And The Family (1930)
Mother Wren is blessed with a good hubby, for out he goes in the spring hunting for a nice summer C, Us of a bird building a nest in a nesting box. The interior decorations cause father a little trouble. C, U of the bird going into the box and trying to pull twigs inside. More shots of the birds going to and fro with twigs. C, U of the opened nesting box with all the contents spread out on a table. Everything but the kitchen sink is found inside: nails, bits of metal, feathers, twigs, hair grips etc. C, U overhead shot of the opened box showing the twigs and feathers inside. Hand goes inside and picks out a tiny egg. The egg is placed back inside. Through camera trick eggs appear in the nest one by one as if by magic. Soon the babies are born, and proud father tells the world about it C, U of baby bird hatching from an egg. Other babies appear. C, U of wren sitting on a branch singing. The birds are seen rolling around on a piece of fabric. We see various shots of them
