The Basics on Base Coats. Getting the most out of that first layer

No matter how long you ve been painting miniature, wither it be 15 minutes or 15 years, the very first thing you re going to do with every colour on every model, is some kind of base coat. So I m going back to basics to explain what the best brushes for base coats are, how pigment and colour work to give solid coverage, as well as consistency and how it keeps paint thin at the cost of needing multiple coats.
