Prediction and Design for Extreme Load Events Using Digital Twins

Digital twins are being developed for broad range of applications across many disparate fields, including design and modifications of tested and certified systems and products. This presentation focuses on design and optimization of physical structural systems and provide some case studies where digital twins have proved useful in predicting structural performance and design modifications under extreme load events.
