When Damascene Gallery Icons launched in 2010, we had a vision of what type of mounted icon we wanted to in short, that vision has become reality with the launching of our Premium Icons, which are archival quality mounted icons with kovcheg. These icons have the same finishing details as our popular high quality icons, but the printed icon is printed to paper rather than canvas and the face of the icon is slightly recessed forming a kovcheg or ark feature commonly found on handpainted icon
