The First Hyouka OP also known as Reason for Kindness or Yasashisa No Riyuu (優しさの理由) is an almost perfect encapsulation of Houtarou s journey through the first half of the show. So let s chat about symbolism of things that I ve already referenced a dozen times but appear here for the first time technically and therefore predate all of the analysis I ve already done.
