In Montreal in 2003, stoic socialite Mickey Robinson becomes the target of an illplanned kidnapping plot by a pair of fumbling excons, Fillipp Montana, formely known as Mr Pink and Lance Gara, looking for a getrichquick scheme. However, things become complicated for the duo when her wealthy husband, Frank, refuses to pay the ransom, as he is on the cusp of filing for divorce to make way for his mistress, Melanie Ralston. The two kidnappers have to figure out how to quickly turn the tables before their time runs out, as they have to oppose not only a man, looking to rescue the million dollar lady by force, but also the whole Montreal police department with an old familiar cop Holdaway in charge.
