In today s 4K Japan Walking Tour, we ll be walking in a shopping street called American Village (Americamura), located in downtown Osaka. Americamura is located between Midosuji Station on the Midosuji subway line and Yotsubashi Station on the Yotsubashi subway line. From Midosuji Station, walk straight west, and from Yotsubashi Station walk straight east. This shopping street grew in the late 1960s and quickly turned into a hub for street fashion and new trends. Although it is not clear why the neighborhood is named like that, in the eyes of most Japanese people who have a more conservative view, perhaps the liberal and liberal atmosphere of this place is considered Americanlike.
