ZEN is a nonverbal documentary about a Japanese Zen nuns temple deep in the heart of the Japanese Alps. Filmed in winter this movie features the struggle of 3 nuns of different age in a remote Buddhist temple the oldest nun being 99 years and suffering from Alzheimer s disease. Filmed in 2000 on Hi8 video and partly 16mm film.
