Indian Soldiers. Location of events unknown. M, S of middleaged Indian man having his hair trimmed by a man in a turban outside a tent. He seems mesmerised by the camera and can hardly drag his eyes away from us to look at his hair in a little handheld mirror. Another man is given a shave by the same man. British ( ) soldiers sharpen knives belonging to Indian soldiers in camp. Indian soldiers in turbans sit and squat on the ground, eating. Some stand around and look at camera. Tents in background. Closer shots of the men eating and preparing food around small stoves or hot plates and smoking pipes. British officers inspects horses in harness, tended by Ghurka ( ) soldiers. British officer gives a small leather bag with a broken clasp to two Indian soldiers sitting on the ground who are mending bits of equipment.
