British pop singer Adele put in a supremely impressive performance as the host of hit American television show Saturday Night Live, delivering a slick and wellrehearsed effort while displaying her comedic charm in a series of humorous skits. Saturday Night Live may well be one of the most lucrative latenight shows of all time and the chance to perform as either the musical guest or the host is a commercial opportunity not to be missed. While some fail to hit the mark with their attempts at humour, Adele managed to tow the line wonderfully as she discussed her own music career, her personal life and played a large role in six different sketches over the course of the episode.
