The Red Turtle QA: Director Michaël Dudok de Wit introduces his animated castaway adventure

The Red Turtle, a new animation coproduced by Studio Ghibli, tells the story of a man washed up on a deserted island, populated only by turtles and crabs. His attempts to escape are thwarted by a giant red turtle, who he gradually befriends. Ahead of the film s London film festival screening its director describes why animating while often producing joyful results can be a frustrating and lonely business.
