FW 190 and Bf 109 at Paine Field Aug 6 2011
For the first time since the end of hostilities in 1945, a Bf 109 and a FW 190 have flown together. Not in the wartorn skies over Europe but in the clouded aerodrome over Paine Field in Everett, Wash. Paul Allen s faithfully restored warbirds were a real treat for the small crowd outside the Flying Heritage Museum. Here is a condensed compilation of some of the footage I shot during the exhibition that was almost an hour exactly from engine runup to shut down.
