I built a guitar, and its blue (first time using veneer and stains)
This was my plan B for the Great Guitar Build Off 2021, in case the One Piece build went wrong. But it didn t, ... so now the B stands for blue (thank you Cranmer Guitars for the name suggestion). Lots of first times with this build: first time using veneer (quilted maple veneer from Madinter Wood for Music ) and first time using a veneer press (using a skateboard veneer vacuum bag from Roarockit) first time using wood that was dried, selected and milled for guitar building, and not staircases, decking, furniture and what not (all timbers are from , and that s ash, flamed maple, and rosewood). Not having to dimension the rough sawn wood by myself was very enjoyable and I m gonna have a hard time going back to the jointer, planer and table saw. first time using stains (SuStain from and not leaving the natural color of the wood Specs Body: 3piece swamp ash, stained quilted maple veneer top, tortoise binding
