Rabbi says Judaism cannot accept Zionism

Judaism does not and cannot accept Zionism, said spokesman of the Neturei Karta USA, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, during the London leg of a UK tour. On a tour titled the Muslim and Jew Tour: Beyond Israel with Dr Azzam Tamimi, a Palestinian author and broadcaster, Rabbi Weiss spoke on behalf of religious Neturei Karta Jews who oppose the state of Israel and actively campaign that truly religious Jews reject Israel. He also highlighted that they support the rights of Palestinians against the illegal occupation of their land. Rabbi Weiss added that Zionism is based on blasphemy and, in its essence, Judaism cannot have a state. He also mentioned how Rabbis cringed when they spoke about the Deir Yassin massacre of 1948, in which Irgun and Stern Gang Zionist militias attacked the village of Deir Yassin, killing at least 107 Palestinians.
