Rons mother, Kate, only realizes their need for prayer after Ron is put in jail for crime. The film prolog states Betrayed is the tragic story of a boy whose parents gave him everything, except the one thing he needed most accepting Jesus Christ as his savior (0:29). The film was written and directed by Ken Anderson, former editor of the magazine Mocidade para Christo. Anderson s company eventually grew to be one of the largest Christian film distributors in the world
