A Day in the Life of Therapy Dog Partners Daisy and Wendy
Meet Daisy and Wendy Cambor, two of 3, 200 volunteers at NewYorkPresbyterian Hospital. To show you what a day in the life of a therapy dog really entails, Daisy strapped on a GoPro to give you a glimpse of her experiences visiting patients and staff. Although Daisy has the cute face of a puppy, shes actually fully grown. Wendy and her family rescued and adopted Daisy about a year and half ago when she was only a year old. Wendy immediately realized Daisys natural inclination for therapy work. She was friendly and engaging with people of all ages, sizes and dispositions. After Wendys mom was hospitalized, she knew right away she wanted to volunteer with Daisy at NewYorkPresbyterian Hospital. Theyve been visiting adult cardiac patients every Friday since January 2015.
