La Vuelta 2021 Stage 6 Highlights, Can The Breakaway Survive
Almost a week in and the Vuelta is in full swing. Stage six takes riders down from Requena, at almost 700m above sea level through several descents and accents that pose no real challenge. By the 75th kilometer the stage flattens out in time for an intermediate sprint at the 98th km. However, the likelihood of the sprinters making it all the way to the finish seems uncertain. With little less than 3km riders are met with a steep incline of an average of over 9 for around 2km. A final increase to 21 with 150 meters to go, a solo win or small breakaway seems likely to conclude the classically Spanish stage race.
