Because there is no natural gas in the village, the villagers use wood stoves to keep their houses warm. Watch as the villagers take the firewood out of the storage shed and then carry and chop it to put into the fire stove in order to warm up their cozy cottage. A fire stove is a big part of the Iranian rural life as the Iranian countryside tends to get to really low temperatures during the cold seasons, which is due to Iran s unique geographical nature. Iranian countryside residents cook and brew most of their food and drinks on the indoor fire stove in addition to it being a source of heat.
