Surviving a Finnish Concentration Camp RT Documentary
During the Great Patriotic War (19411945), Lenina Makeeva spent 3 years in a Karelian concentration camp. The Finns occupied Karelia in 1941 and already considered these lands their own. All Slavs Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians were superfluous for them. They were sent to prisons and concentration camps. Lenina s mother, along with four small children, among whom were two newborn girls, were settled in a hut in the winter. The Finns didn t execute the prisoners, but they didn t provide any assistance. They were waiting for them to die of illness or cold. But Lenina survived. Check out the post and our new documentary Finnish Face of Fascism.
