Begemot Swim ( Entry, 24 Beaters For All 2021)

Watch Ivan Gobenko getting a solid beatdown on the Chuya River in Russia This summer I was famously beaten and would like to tell about it. This is the Begemot rapid on Chuya river. Ive ran it about 20 times using different lines. The only thing Ive never tried there was swimming. Till one day when I though I want an interesting line. . And I swam. It was supposed to be just a big hole on my way, maybe some time underwater but nothing more. And then while underwater I realise that Im not moving with the current. Found out that its my skirt being caught on something and Im not able to take it off. Luckily there was something to push off from under my feet so I took that chance and pushed as hard as I could. It didnt work. So I did it again, no results. And only from the forth time it worked. The skirt ripped and I was moving with the water again and soon surfaced after 18 seconds By: Ivan Globenko
