11th Marine Expeditionary Unit Practice Makes Perfect
Highlights of U. S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) during a livefire and maneuver range. While deployed, Marines focus not only on maintaining security, but also on training to maintain readiness and improve skills. The 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the U. S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region. The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units currently in existence in the United States Marine Corps. Marine expeditionary units are the smallest airground task forces in the United States Fleet Marine Force. Each MEU is an expeditionary rapidreaction force, deployed and ready for immediate response to any crisis. Credits: U. S. Marine Corps videos by Sgt. Israel Chincio, Sgt. Jennessa Davey, Cpl.
