Monkey Electrocution

I was in downtown Quepos, Costa Rica on February 17, 2011 when I heard some monkeys screaming. I saw a squirrel monkey being electrocuted as it jumped on the power lines. The monkey died. A woman picked it up, put it in her purse and drove away on her moped. Moments later, the second of three monkeys jumped on to the power line also. They both survived. As you can see at the end of the video, the electrocuted monkey had to deal with a car almost running it over and a stray dog chasing it
