La nave Amerigo Vespucci, alla fonda nelle acque di Scalea
Domenica 23 ottobre, a distanza di tre anni, è tornata a Scalea, l Amerigo Vespucci, nave scuola della Marina Militare. La nave più bella del mondo è rimasta alla fonda per lintera giornata e dalle imbarcazioni tenute a debita distanza, in spiaggia e su Torre Talao, sono state tantissime le persone accorse, anche da fuori città, per ammirarla facendone una vera e propria attrazione turistica da fotografare e postare sui social network. Purtroppo, a causa delle restrizioni da covid19, solo una piccola delegazione formata prevalentemente da autorità civili, religiose e militari è potuta salire a bordo. Ospiti, fra gli altri, del Capitano di vascello Luigi Romagnoli, comandante della nave Vespucci: il prefetto di Cosenza Vittoria Ciaramella, il sindaco di Scalea Giacomo Perrotta e Monsignor Cono Araugio.
