Reckless attaching of Engine with Train. Rough Shunting
The incident took place 14th September, 2018 at Jokadia village while train number 04769 was en route to Sriganganagar. At about 8 am when the train was passing through the village, the hook of the engine got opened and it rolled forward about 200 metre leaving the bogies behind, sources said. As soon as the driver realised what has happened, he tried to bring the engine back to join it with the bogies. This attempt led to the engine hitting the bogies leaving a few passengers suffering minor injuries. Fortunately, the incident occurred hardly 5 km from Hanumangarh junction and thus the speed of the train was not very fast. It was the guard who informed about the incident at the Hanumangarh junction railway station and the medical aid was immediately sent to the spot, a source said.
