Educated Mud (1930)

The other day Eve s Cameraman reported on some nervous clay having a good reads the introductory intertitle. C, U of a small clay bust being sculptured. C, U of man making the model. The head takes shape miraculously this is achieved by a camera trick film reversal. The finished model would have been gradually smoothed down and made into a lump of clay then the film reversed. The model is of a man with a large moustache and a monocle. Through stop frame animation the man s mouth moves as does his moustache. C, U of an eye made of clay. Pieces of clay are magically removed (stop frame animation) to reveal a cockerel in the middle of the eye. It flaps its wings then magically changes into a glamour girl sitting on a chair.
