Andy Gibb Desire
Desire was written by Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb and was originally recorded by the Bee Gees in 1978 while the sessions of Spirits Having Flown and Blue Weaver recalls that this version was originally intended for the album, After spending weeks on it, they dropped it from the album lineup. Later it was recorded by Andy Gibb and released as a single and on the album After Dark and Andy having a new lead vocal in 1979. Desire is a 1980 single Aside credited to Andy Gibb. It reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1980. Any sense that Andy was channeling the Bee Gees rather than finding his own way would be confirmed here, This version sounds a lot like Too Much Heaven, this was Andy s last top ten in other places this single and its Bside Waiting For You were released as a double A.
