Filming Birdlife in Americas Arctic
At the very north of Americas Arctic is a vast expanse of tundra wetlands hosting some of the highest recorded densities of breeding shorebirds anywhere in the Arctic. Millions of birds from all over the world flock to these wetlands every year to nest and raise their young. Come along with Cornell Labs Center for Conservation Media photographer Gerrit Vyn as he travels to Teshekpuk Lake in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska to capture images of some of the regions most iconic bird species. Americas Arctic is one of North Americas last great wilderness areas, a critical habitat for migratory birds from around the world, and a treasure to be protected for future generations. , AmericasArctic, birds, nature
