if your setist is around 260bpm you need to be able to play up to 280bpm You ALWAYS need a comfort zone in order not to play at 100 of your possibility Here is a useful exercise for developing your: CONTROL SPEED ENDURANCE and BALANCE The exercise is divided between a bar in 8th notes (let s call it the relax s bar ) and a bar in 16th notes in which, especially at high speeds, we will put under stress wrists and fingers. Every bpm must be played for 2 minutes long. As you can see I use the LR sticking because I m left handed but if you are a right handed use your traditional sticking.
