Trade union members condemn attack on HQs amid violent anti COVID pass protest in Rome

According to local media, around 10, 000 protesters, including farright groups, rallied against the measure. Police deployed water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Protesters blocked streets with makeshift barricades. Several people were detained. A group of protesters tried to reach the Prime Minister s office while another stormed the Federation of Italian Trade Unions building (CGIL).
