Woman Finds Copperhead Snake In Her Car While Driving

A local woman credits the CharlotteMecklenburg Police Department with helping her during a scary ordeal one which involved a copperhead snake. The incident happened last week while the woman was traveling along Interstate 485. The snake was inching toward her steering wheel when she first noticed it. Somehow, the woman remained calm and was able to pull her car over on the highway. A CMPD officer spotted the woman and stopped to see if she needed any assistance. Animal control officers were dispatched to the scene, and removed the snake from the glove box. Miraculously, the woman was able to exit the vehicle unscathed without a snake bite.
