What Power Bands Tell Us: E46 M3 vs. F82 M4 vs. E60 M5

My daughters kept asking me questions about how fast the M5 is compared with their Uncle s M4 and their daddys M3. They seem to understand the concept of horsepower and that 507 is more than 415, and 415 is more than 333. I think they also understand that the M5 weighs more than the other 2 and that the extra weight requires more power for the car to accelerate. But then I tried to explain something just as important the power band. And forced induction. And RPMs. And I lost them in a hurry. So
