My First Real Adventure Ride This is my first year riding an adventure bike (Husky 701LR). So far I ve only gone solo tripping, which was fun and felt like an adventure at the time, but this was so much more After this trip I know what it means to go on an Adventure Ride. When Gary invited me to join him on a Grand Canyon group ride, I didn t hesitate at taking him up on the offer. The moment everyone showed up at the predetermined starting point, I began to wonder if I would be able to keep up with these guys. They seemed to know what they were doing, which I realized later was an understatement. I m pretty much a noob when it comes to motorcycles. I bought my first bike last year (XT 250), which I used to get the hang of offroad riding in our foothills. I did a lot of slow riding over soft ground and snow, weaving around sagebrush to gain correction muscle memory, which helped me on this trip.
