She gets out and knocks on the front door of a patient. In her role as housewife Dr Edith goes shopping in a quiet street, looking in shop windows at groceries and clothes. She stops to chat to some housewives and two servicewomen (ATS ) in the street. Then we see Dr Edith setting off from her country home in Camberley with her briefcase and arriving at the railway station. She gets on a train and we then see her walking towards the Houses of Parliament. Sequence with natural sound follows, of Dr Edith being interviewed at a desk by Anna Wibberly, Editor of Everywoman.
