Depeche Mode It Doesnt Matter

The album, Some Great Reward, showcased a slightly meatier, more cinematic Depeche Mode the version that would finally hit big time stadium status in the US. Eclipsed by 2 thundering singles in the form of People are People and of course, Master and Servant, the rest of the album faded to grey (pun very much intended) But there was a self assured touch and maturity in Martin Gore s songwriting particularly in the more contemplative moments like this one and Somebody. This was and remains one of my favourite Mode tracks. I hope you enjoy.
