Russians take to streets to demand release of local governor BBC News

Tens of thousands of Russians have taken to the streets in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk to demand the release of their local governor. Sergei Furgal was arrested and flown to Moscow accused of criminal activity but his many supporters say the detention is politically motivated.
