The Bar barian Workout shoot with a Blackbird Stabilizer by DP Bob Scott

The Barbarian s are a New York City based elite body training group. They meet weekly at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village to train. I have shot various still photos and videos with the BarBarians and continue to work with these amazing athletes. This is my second test using the Blackbird Stabilizer by Camera Motion Research. The Steady Cam or Stabilizer rig is easy to balance and just a matter of practicing to get better. I was flying my Canon 5D Mark 2. I did the test with a battery grip but no extra monitor so the rig weighted just under 7 lbs. The Blackbird can adapt to many of the vest and arms available in the DSLR market which might be a nice idea if I need to fly the camera for long scenes. The music is a SEAL mix by an unknown DJ.
